Our day surgery department includes eight beds and an eight-bed recovery unit. It has its own entrance and waiting area so patients and families have easy access to this area. Patients may be admitted, have surgery and be discharged for home all in the same department.
We offer a wide range of day surgery procedures using state-of the art laser and laparoscopic techniques. Day surgeries include procedures in general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, ear, nose, throat and others.
Many procedures that were inpatient stays in the past are now able to be done in a day with the patient being discharged to spend the recovery period in the comfort of his own home.
