Parent's Preparing - A Six Week Series or One Day Class. This class is offered as a
six week course meeting once a week in the evening or all day on a Saturday. It covers
pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum and newborn care as well as breathing techniques
and relaxation. A tour of the maternal/child areas is also included at the end of the
course.
Baby Basics - This is especially for first time parents, but others are certainly
welcome to refresh their memory! Baby Basics focuses on the essentials of baby care such
as diapering, feeding, bathing, dressing and safety in and around the home.
Breast feeding - Covers techniques to help make breatfeeding a positive
experience for mother and baby. We offer both women only and
co-ed classes.
Sibling Class - This class is for future big brothers and big sisters that are at least
three years of age. The class is geared toward their acceptance of the new baby and how
important they are in the process. The children are able to tour the maternal/child areas
so that they will feel comfortable when visiting mom and baby in the hospital.
Pediatric Basic Life Support - This class trains parents, grandparents and other care givers in Infant
and Child CPR. This class includes CPR from birth to 8 years of age.
