Lake Charles, La. (December 23, 2010) – Women & Children’s Hospital (WCH) recently announced Felicia Adams, RNC, MS has been appointed chief nursing officer.
“Felicia has a strong background in women and children’s services, which makes her an ideal fit to lead the nursing staff at our organization,” said Bryan Bateman, chief executive officer of WCH. “She is excited to take on this new role and I am confident that she will continue the tradition of putting our patients first and providing a great place for our nurses to work.”
Originally from Kansas, Adams has 17 years of management and nursing experience. She has worked for the Memorial Hermann System in Houston and most recently came to WCH from Wesley Medical Center, a 760-bed hospital located in Wichita, Kansas. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and later completed her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University at Houston.
Adams and her husband Dean, have a blended family with five grown children and one grandson.
