Lake Charles, La. (January 4, 2011) – Women & Children’s Hospital (WCH) welcomes Eddye G. Blossom II, M.D., an obstetrician and gynecologist to its medical staff. A Louisiana native, Dr. Blossom received his bachelor of science degree in biochemistry from Xavier University in New Orleans and obtained his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center at Shreveport. Following medical school, he completed his residency program at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.

Dr. Blossom provides comprehensive healthcare services for women including wellness screenings, family planning, high and low risk obstetrics, and his office is equipped with both 3D and 4D ultrasound technologies. Dr. Blossom also offers the most advanced gynecological options for women including laparoscopic hysterectomies and many other minimally invasive surgical procedures.

Prior to joining Lake Area OB/GYN Associates, Dr. Blossom was in private practice in Arkansas. He is a member of the American Medical Association and is a Junior Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, attending live theater and watching football.
