Women & Children’s Hospital Announces New Directors to Staff

- Women & Children’s Hospital (WCH) is excited to welcome four new directors to their staff - Kevin Gobert, Director of Respiratory Therapy, Tracie Young, Business Office Director, Brian Shepherd, Director of Emergency Department and Sherron Deculus, Director of Case Management.
Gobert, Young and Shepherd are new to the WCH team. Gobert is a registered respiratory therapist and has 19 years of experience in healthcare. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix in Lafayette. He was previously employed as the director of Pulmonary Services at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Mississippi. He is also a perinatal pediatric specialist and a registered pulmonary function technician.
Young has 13 years of hospital experience including 8 years of hospital management experience within the business office departments at Mercy Regional and Acadian Medical Center, where she worked prior to joining WCH. She also has 10 years of experience with the Department of Health and Hospitals as a Medicaid Analyst.
Shepherd graduated from McNeese State University and has been a registered nurse for 11 years. He was previously employed as the emergency department director at Baptist Hospital in Orange, Texas prior to joining WCH.
Deculus, a registered nurse and registered health information administrator, has 15 years of experience and has been working for WCH for 10 years. She was previously the Core Measures Abstractor at the hospital prior to her promotion. She received her bachelor of science from the University of Louisiana and nursing degree from McNeese State University.
