Lake Charles, La. (August 9, 2011) – Women & Children’s Hospital’s (WCH) Healthy Woman program will celebrate its first complete year in the Lake Charles community with a special anniversary event, to be held from 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 8 at Treasures of Marilyn’s. The celebration will include a health fair, music, dinner and a keynote address by radio personality, president and founder of Winners By Choice, Inc., Dale Smith Thomas.

The Healthy Woman program, sponsored by WCH, was originally founded in 2008 and re-launched in January 2010. In just three years, the chapter has grown to more than 1200 members.

Dale Smith Thomas, the evening’s keynote speaker, will give an empowering and entertaining presentation that will provide women with the tools to achieve their goals, both personally and professionally.

The anniversary event is open to all women ages 21 and up. Tickets are $20 per person or a table can be reserved for 8 guests for $160.  Sponsorship and partnership opportunities are available for businesses that would like to participate with a booth at the event.

Healthy Woman membership is open to women ages 25 to 64 and offers a monthly series of free seminars, health fairs, educational programs and networking events.
