A panel of local OB/GYNs will discuss sexual health topics for women
Lake Charles, La. (February 23, 2012) - Women & Children’s Hospital (WCH) will host their next free Healthy Woman event on Thursday, March 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Lake Charles Country Club located at 3350 Country Club Road.
The topic for this month’s event is sexual health for women featuring an experienced panel of OB/GYNs including Drs. Eddye G. Blossom II, James Brown III, TriCia Guidry and Alice Prestia. “A wide variety of women’s health questions will be answered at this seminar including the importance of certain annual exams, STDs, endometriosis, contraception health risk, libido, menopause and more,” said Nadia Nazeer, Healthy Woman program coordinator. “We anonymously surveyed our current Healthy Woman members, asking them what topics or questions did they want to have addressed by our panel. We had nearly 100 women respond and we have fielded those questions to our physician panel,” Nazeer added.
Door prizes and refreshments will be served following the program. Women ages 25 and up are encouraged to attend. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the program begins at 5:45 p.m. Anyone interested in attending this event or in joining Healthy Woman should go online to register at www.women-childrens.com/healthywoman or call Nadia Nazeer at 337-475-4064 to reserve your place by 5 pm, Tuesday, February 28.
