Women & Children’s Hospital Celebrates National Hospital Week, May 6-12

Employees get ready for a week of good food and fun

Lake Charles, La. (May 4, 2012) – In honor of National Hospital Week, May 6 – 12, Women & Children's Hospital (WCH) will host numerous appreciation activities for their employees, physicians and volunteers including:

• Monday, May 7 – Snack Day
• Tuesday, May 8 – Pancake and eggs breakfast, Pizza dinner for the night shift
• Wednesday, May 9 – Smoothies
• Thursday, May 10 – Crawfish boil
• Friday, May 11- Ice cream sundaes

All activities will take place on the hospital campus located at 4200 Nelson Rd. In addition to the week-long treats, each employee will also receive a blue cooler with the hospital logo imprinted on it.

“WCH is lucky to have such a great team of employees, physicians and volunteers who choice to work with us.  We always enjoy showing our appreciation for them throughout the year, but there’s really something special about hospital week,” said WCH CEO, Bryan S. Bateman. “The crawfish boil is the highlight of the week and many employees even come in on their day off to participate.”

The annual crawfish boil has been a great tradition for the employees during hospital week for more than ten years.

The WCH management team would like to thank all of their employees for their dedication to the facility and for caring for Southwest Louisiana residents for nearly 28 years.
