Women & Children’s Healthy Woman Program Celebrates 2nd Anniversary 

Lake Charles, La. (July 25, 2012) – The Healthy Woman program sponsored by Women & Children’s Hospital’s (WCH) will celebrate its second anniversary on Thursday, September 6 at L’Auberge Casino Resort. This year’s event will include a women’s health expo from 4 – 6 p.m., followed by dinner and a one-woman show by comedian and motivational speaker, Kelly Swanson.  

An award-winning storyteller, Swanson, will give an uplifting talk about what to do when your fairy tale life doesn’t turn out the way you planned. In her show, Who Hijacked My Fairy Tale, titled after her popular book, attendees will learn how to cultivate a balance between the life they envisioned and the life they got. “Swanson will encourage our Lake Area women to laugh their way to a healthier ever-after,” said Nadia Nazeer, Healthy Woman Coordinator.  

The anniversary event is open to women ages 21 and up. Tickets are $20 per person.  Sponsorship and partnership opportunities are available for businesses that would like to participate with a booth at the event or sponsor a table of 8.
